This pretty theorem painting displays the talents of artist Maura P. Campbell (1943-2023) of Hingham, Massachusetts. Using a series of stencils and oil paints in soft colors, Mrs. Campbell created a nosegay of flowers, tied with ribbon, against cream-colored velvet. She initialed her work "MPC" under the flowers at the lower right.
The theorem is framed in wood, 1 1/8 inches wide, that was grain painted to resemble mahogany. The reverse side is covered with cream colored paper and there is a description and history of theorems by Maura Campbell fastened to the paper at the bottom.
The framed size is 11 3/4 inches top to bottom and 9 3/4 inches wide; it weighs 1 pound, 2 ounces. The frame, non-glare glass and theorem itself are all in excellent condition; the only wear we found was the tears in the backing paper (shown). There is a sawtooth hanger attached on the back so this beautiful artwork is ready to hang and grace your wall.
